Search: restrict to marked block

Postby TommyB on Thu Aug 28, 2008 12:32 pm

Hi,

it would be very useful (at least for me) if Multiedit could automatically check
the "restrict to marked block" option if the cursor currently is inside a
marked block.

thanks

Thomas,

If you go into Tools | Customize | Search | Find and check the Restrict to marked block option, then when a block is marked the option will be automatically checked when the Find dialog is brought up.

Cool, that's what I looked for... Thanks a lot!

Most likely I have seen this option before but didn't understand it :-)

After working a while with this I would like to suggest that there is an additional option to restrict the search only if the cursor actually inside of a block...

Lots of times, I have a persistent block which is several hundred lines "out of sight" and would like to search inside the whole document.
