Request: More Flexible License for mobilME

Postby msadler on Tue Aug 28, 2007 12:07 am

I just checked with your sales department. Apparently, mobilME is locked to the 128 Mb USB drive that it comes on. This is a deal breaker for me.

I think more and more professionals like to have their favorite apps on a USB drive. It lets them be more productive as they move from computer to computer. So mobilME is a good idea. But locking it to a 128 Mb flash drive is not.

At least one of your competitors gives a free U3 version of their editor with the full version. I would pay a little extra for a mobilME version that would let me install on the flash drive of my choice.

I'm very sorry, but you were misinformed.

mobileME is provided ONLY on the USB drive which we sell it on, however, the program itself can be moved to any other media type including SDCards, USB drives and yes, even the U3 drive.

I've spoke with the sales rep who informed you of this limitation and she simply wasn't clear that it could be migrated to other media types.

Also keep in mind with each purchase of mobileME you'll receive a full version installation to use on your desktop as well.

So can I buy it

Postby Tim Pearce on Sat Mar 01, 2008 1:05 am

Since I cannot buy MobileME on the USB because you don't ship overseas, can I buy the MobileME software to download and put on my own device?

For some unknown reason the distributors seem to think that because Australia was once a British colony, that we should be served from the UK, even though it's just as distant from us as the US !

Tim, we will indeed ship overseas. Our cart however is not setup to handle the various postage fees for locations outside the United States.

Simply send your order request to Michele Hegwood at sales@multieditsoftware.com and we'll she'll contact you on Monday to handle your order.
