Close Files very slow

I had about 35 files open. I used Shift F3 to close the file. It took over 20 seconds to close the one file.
I went to close all the files, and it took over 15 minutes before they all closed.

Any thoughts why this is happening?

Running windows server 2008 r2 64bit. ME 11

Were the files on a network shared drive? Are you able to reproduce?

No. The files are on the C drive in a Visual Studio 2008 project (the project is not open at the time).
I also use subversion to control the files.

And yes, I am able to reproduce. It just 20 seconds to close a small file...

I was not able to reproduce this, but I'm not using subversion, maybe the problem is there. Can you open some non subversion controlled files and see if you have the same problem?

I opened several non subversion files on my C drive.
14 seconds to close each one (13 to 16 secs).

Could there be some interference from your virus software? Does another application like note pad, or another text editor have the same issue?

I tried Notepad. No problems.
I tried Notepad++. No problems
I tried KEdit. No problems.
I tried OneNote. No problems.
I tried Word. No problems.

Antivirus is NOD business.

Can you try resetting your Meconfig.db file. The following post will tell you how to locate it. Then, after closing Multi-Edit (ME), rename the file to something like Meconfig-bak.db. Then restart ME and see if the problem persists. If the problem persists, you can rename the file back (with ME not running) and we will try something else.
